Ulthera or facelift without surgery
Ulthera is a non-surgical technique that uses focused ultrasound. The goal is to pass through the skin without damaging the most superficial layers to act in depth. It treats sagging skin on the face. This can act at different depths of the skin’s surface that helps treat sagging skin. But, unlike a facelift , there are no scars, no hospitalization, or even social eviction. Of course, the results are not as impressive as with a facelift. But, for patients who do not want, cannot have or do not want to wait for surgery, this technique is interesting.

How does Ulthera work?
It is the first technique approved by the FDA (Food Drug Administration) for the treatment of sagging skin on the face. It involves reshaping tissues that can generally only be manipulated surgically during a cervico-facial lift for example. The surface of the skin is therefore not altered and the patient can resume his or her activities after the treatment.
The treatment lasts from 30 minutes to 1 hour. Discomfort during treatment is controlled by skin numbing-creams and analgesics, After the treatment, you can immediately return to your daily activities. There is an immediate rejuvenating effect, but the permanent changes are gradual over about 3 months.
It does not replace surgery, but it is an interesting and modern alternative for those who are not ready for surgery.
